Man uses construction front-loader to try to break into bank, police say

LYNNWOOD, Wash. (KOMO) — Police in Washington state are looking for someone they say used construction equipment to break into a Chase Bank building.

It happened Wednesday around 7:15 p.m. Witnesses told police they saw a man crash the large construction equipment front-loader into the building.

Witnesses said they saw the man ram the front loader into the building at least three times while wall and strewing debris were knocked around the parking lot.

The suspect then got off the front loader and tried to get into the building, though it’s unclear if he actually got in. Police said the ATM was not broken into. He then fled the scene, according to police.

LPD said it used a drone and K-9 team to search for him but he has not yet been located.
