WASHINGTON (TND) — The Pentagon is investigating the leak of top military documents revealing highly classified information.
Washington Insider Armstrong Williams joined The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat Monday morning to discuss the story.
“These documents were leaked in early March, to a small group expanded to a larger group,” he said. “The United States was not even aware that the leak was taking place.”
New documents surfaced on social media on Friday revealing U.S military maneuvers and support for Ukraine, criticism of Israel and many of American allies' intelligence strategies.
“The Department of Defense continues to review and assess the validity of the photographed documents that are circulating on social media sites and that appear to contain sensitive and highly classified material,"Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said in a statement.
“This is bigger than WikiLeaks and bigger than Edward Snowden," Armstrong said. "We are so compromised.”
