The Burger King on Chalkville Mountain Road in Trussville burned early Tuesday morning.
According to Fire Chief Tim Shotts, the fire department was called just before 5 a.m.
When firefighters arrived, the roof had already collapsed. The fire, which appears to have started in the kitchen, was under control in 45 minutes.

There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
