A man has been charged with criminal trespassing and public intoxication after being arrested Friday night at the Walker County airport, according to the Walker County Sheriff's Office.
According to a social media post by the sheriff's office, authorities were contacted about a person at the airport who said he had killed three or four people. Deputies responded and detained the man at the scene.
Other deputies did welfare checks at the location where the man said he had killed people but no people were found harmed.

47-year-old Jeramy Daniel Vandiver of Jasper was arrested and charged. He was transported to the emergency room for evaluation before being transported to jail.
Law enforcement said Vandiver had methamphetamine in his possession and had driven to the airport in a car that was reportedly stolen. The Winston County Sheriff's Office made contact with the owner of the car and discovered it had been stolen from a storage location in Curry.Multiple firearms were recovered from the vehicle that are believed to also belong to the owner of the car.
The sheriff's office said the Narcotics and Investigations Divisions are expected to bring additional charges for the drugs and stolen vehicle.
