The Jefferson County Coroner is asking for help finding the families of three people who recently died in Jefferson County.

63-year-old Vickie Jo Franks died on January 4, 2023. She was found inside her home in the 2300 block of 5th Avenue North in Birmingham when an apartment manager performed a welfare check.

Franks possibly has an adult son and ex-husband, Roger Dale Arnold, who might live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

45-year-old Ricky Bryant Pelt died on February 7, 2023. He was found near the intersection of 38th Street and Court G in Fairfield. Pelt was taken to Baptist Princeton Medical Center where he died a short time later.

His cause of death is pending, but an autopsy found no evidence of foul play.

He may have lived in the 6800 block of Holland Avenue in Birmingham in the past.

76-year-old Sylvia Jane Goodwin died on February 11, 2023 at Eastview Rehabilitation an Healthcare. Goodwin had lived at the center since July 2018.

No photo of Goodwin is available.

According to records, Goodwin lived in the 1000 block of 1st Street in Opelika at some point in the past.
