MIDFIELD, Ala. (WBMA) — A police officer was injured while responding to a call in Midfield Saturday.
The Midfield Police Department said one of its officers was dragged by a suspect's vehicle.
The officer was responding to a call of a driver stopped at a traffic light on Bessemer Super Highway.

The officer was reportedly able to get up, chase the suspect and ultimately make an arrest before being transported to a local hospital and then released.
