91-year-old woman dies after being hit by car at Cullman shopping center

CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — A 91-year-old Cullman woman died after being struck by a vehicle at a shopping center Tuesday.

The Cullman Police Department said the incident happened just after 7:00 p.m. in the parking lot of a Publix store located at the Cullman Shopping Center.

Ross was taken from the scene to UAB Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.

Police said the driver of the vehicle that struck Ross was not injured.

Police said the vehicle was traveling at an appropriate speed for a parking lot and no charges have been filed at this time.

The incident is still under investigation.
